Amiga 600 Rev. 2D White Screen Fix

PCBA: 8515092036480906236556 , Country of origin : Poland

This is a common fault. Amiga is not restarting due to the C612 or NE555 timer fault. The LM555/NE555/SA555 is a highly stable controller capable of producing accurate timing pulses. With a monostable operation, the time delay is controlled by one external resistor and one capacitor. With an astable operation, the frequency and duty cycle are accurately controlled by two external resistors and one capacitor.

DIAGNOSTICS: Burn capacitors and broken traces have been found, probable NE555 timer (U14) fault. On the pictures below you will find a location of the fault already marked in colors. BTW, NEE55 timer is working as it should be, just a broken trace beneath the chip.

MAINTENANCE: All capacitors have been replaced, broken traces repaired and secured with CW2500. Mainboard has been cleaned using the ultrasonic cleaner. All ports, audio connectors, modulator RF shield have been polished and protected. Amiga is working fine from now.
